Dr Leila Dehghan is a doctor turned nutritionist and personal trainer. Her debilitating migraines compelled her to quit her medical career. Adopting a vegan lifestyle eventually healed her migraines by following a whole food plant-based diet. Now, as an educator she enjoys spreading awareness about the benefits of plant-based diets for athletes and other health-conscious individuals. As an amateur martial artist she takes a keen interest in sports nutrition and has previously contributed to a clinical handbook by authoring the chapter “Plant-based nutrition for Athletes” and have also developed a lecture on the topic for the short course on Plant-Based Nutrition at the University of Winchester.
