Richard Schwartz, PhD: Prof. Schwartz is President emeritus of Jewish Veg and author of several books, including “Judaism and Vegetarianism (3 editions) and “Vegan Revolution: Saving Our World, Revitalizing Judaism.” He has over 300 articles and links to many of his books at Jewish-Vegan.org.

 

Victoria Moran: Victoria Moran has written many books, including Compassion the Ultimate Ethic: An Exploration of Veganism, Main Street Vegan, the international bestseller Creating a Charmed Life, and her latest, Age Like a Yogi. A 2024 inductee into the Vegan Hall of Fame, Victoria is founder and director of Main Street Vegan Academy, certifying vegan lifestyle coaches and educators, and a cofounder of the Compassion Consortium, an online spiritual center for animal advocates. 

 

Lionel Friedberg: Lionel is a multi-award-winning documentary film director, producer, and writer who has written or produced films for, among others, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, PBS, the History Channel, and National Geographic. He is the author of three non-fiction books and a New York Times bestselling author. He is a vegan and active in the environmental and animal welfare movements.

 

Raquela Kamerson: Raquela Kameron founded Jewish Vegan Life to educate, support, and empower Jews from all walks of life to embrace a plant-forward lifestyle and discover the connection to their Jewish values. With over a decade in communications, media relations, and crisis management for the U.S. Departments of State and Defense, as well as the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Raquela’s background is both diverse and distinguished. Through donating, volunteering, and hosting vegan events, she has become a passionate advocate for this vital issue. Raquela is also certified in lifestyle medicine by Harvard University Medical School.

 

Lisa Levinson: Lisa Levinson is the Campaigns Director for In Defense of Animals, the Founder of Vegan Spirituality, the Co-founder of the Interfaith Vegan Coalition, and is an Animal Chaplain in training.

 

Rabbi Yonatan Neril: Rabbi Neril founded and directs the Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development, which reveals the connection between religion and ecology and mobilizes faith communities to act on climate change. Yonatan authored the bestselling book Eco Bible: An Ecological Commentary on the  Bible. He is a member of the United Nations Environment Program’s Faith-based Advisory Council.

 

Dr. Sailesh Rao: Dr. Rao is the Founder and Executive Director of Climate Healers, a non-profit organization dedicated to healing the earth’s climate. In 2023, the Guardian Newspaper designated him a climate hero, citing him as “a foremost voice on green issues.”

 

Rabbi Daniel Swartz: Rabbi Swartz serves Temple Hesed of Scranton and is Executive Director of the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life (COEJL), which he helped found in 1993. For decades, he has led international faith-based efforts to promote environmental justice and combat climate change through work with Interfaith Power and Light, the National Religious Partnership for the Environment, the Children’s

 

Alon Tal, PhD: Prof. Tal wrote many environmental books
including “Pollution in the Promised Land.” al was appointed chair of the Department of Public Policy at Tel Aviv University in 2017 and was a member of the Israeli Knesset in 2021 and 2022. He is the founder of the Israel Union for Environmental Defense[ and the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and co-founder of Ecopeace: Friends of the Earth–Middle East, This Is My Earth,[ the Israel Forum for Demography, Environment, and Society, Aytzim: Ecological Judaism, and the Green Movement.
