The first session of the Yoga, Ahimsa, Veganism Passion Pod brought together Anna Ferguson and Mariquita Solis for a heartfelt exploration of how yogic philosophy and vegan living intertwine as daily expressions of compassion, awareness, and connection.
Rooted in the principle of Ahimsa—nonviolence in thought, word, and action—the conversation invited participants to reflect on how yoga’s physical and spiritual practices can nurture a kinder relationship with ourselves, others, and the planet.
Mariquita opened the session by framing the Passion Pod as a space for inner transformation and authentic alignment between values and action.
Anna shared how the practice of Asana can bridge body awareness with compassionate living, guiding practitioners from movement on the mat to mindfulness in daily life. Together, they explored how the spirit of Ahimsa extends beyond diet to include self-care, relationships, and the way we engage with the world.
Participants were encouraged to see veganism not as a restriction but as a natural unfolding of the awareness cultivated through yoga—a practice of living gently and consciously. The discussion highlighted community, kindness, and ongoing self-inquiry as essential supports for lasting transformation.
At its core, the session revealed Ahimsa as the living thread connecting yoga, compassion, and veganism—each one deepening the other in service of peace.
