For paws and plants

April 25 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Desc: Recent data reveals a striking reality: globally, dogs and cats consume 9% of all farmed livestock. In the U.S. alone, this accounts for up to 30% of the environmental impact of animal agriculture.
While many assume this footprint is an unavoidable part of caregiving, emerging research suggests a more sustainable path is possible.
So why isn’t this more widely known?
The transition to sustainable pet nutrition is currently stalled by a credibility gap. A lack of accessible, science-backed resources has left many guardians navigating a maze of misconceptions regarding nutritional adequacy.
To bridge this gap, The Vegan Community/ Healthy World Vitality Plan, in collaboration with Healthy World Vitality Plan/ The Vegan Community, is hosting the Paws and Plants Summit on April 25.
This virtual event brings together four leading veterinary researchers to explore how companion animals can thrive on plant-based diets—aligning the well-being of our companion animals with the health of our planet.
